Two More Radio Networks Add AP Radio Audio
American Urban Radio and Skylight Use
Content-Leader to Keep Listeners Tuned In
 
 
WASHINGTON –Two more radio networks, serving 340 stations combined, are now using audio from the AP Radio on their on-air broadcasts. 
 
American Urban Radio, which maintains 270 music station affiliates, will use AP SoundBank, an Internet-based actuality archive covering of 90-years of digitized audio. Skylight Radio Network, which serves 70 affiliates, will use AP's live Top-of-the-Hour newscasts, which is an element of AP's flexible 24-hour audio network, AP Network News, along with AP's text and information service, NewsPower.
 
AP Radio content is used by radio networks around the country with totaling more than XX affiliates between them. Examples include the Jones Radio Network, Salem Radio Networks, Bloomberg Radio Networks and Fox Sports Radio
 
"With more than 300 stations between them, these two networks serve broad audiences with differing interests," said AP Radio General Manager Thomas P.  Callahan.  " From news around the globe to news in their state, from Hollywood to Wall Street, AP is the one place they can go to get it all."
 
SoundBank is the industry's most comprehensive digital archive of soundbites available with 300 actualities added daily, covering much of the last 90 years.  It offers entertainment and lifestyle, news, sports and business audio and is a valuable programming tool for all station formats.  It's especially useful for morning shows, music stations, oldies programs, talk and public affairs, and general station production.
