AP Radio Adds McCarthy to Sales Team
Washington, D.C., – AP Radio has named Patrick J. (PJ) McCarthy as its newest regional radio executive, responsible for supporting member stations in the Northwest region.
Based in Salt Lake City, McCarthy will develop new business and enhance existing service for AP Radio members in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
"We strive to bring in talented and experienced representatives, who understand the radio business," said Thomas P. Callahan, General Manager of AP Radio. "PJ’s media sales experience will make him a valuable asset to AP and our members.”
McCarthy is a broadcast industry veteran with over 20 years of radio experience. Most recently, he was a regional sales manager for Marketron where he managed sales efforts for the Midwest/Western Region and developed business with numerous radio groups. He began his career in local radio at WLS in Chicago, and then went on to spend 8 years in sales with Infinity in Chicago. Other positions McCarthy has held include 8 years as Senior Account Manager with Tapscan and Regional Director of Sales with Arbitron.
